Check Payments is a payment processing service that doesn’t require online payment. Orders using this method are put on hold until the payment is settled outside of WooCommerce. As the store owner, you need to make sure checks have cleared before managing orders within WooCommerce. It’s essential to confirm that payment has been received before shipping the order and marking it as complete.
Saved Payment Methods
For any payment gateway that allows users to save payment methods, these methods can be managed through the account—such as setting a default or deleting saved options. That said, these gateways also support enhanced saved methods, which come with a few additional features. One key feature is the ability to assign nicknames to these methods (like “Personal” or “Business”), making it simple for your customers to identify them during checkout. To add a nickname, users can click the “edit” option for the specific payment method.
Cash on Delivery
Cash on Delivery (COD) is a payment gateway that doesn’t necessitate online payment. Orders using COD are marked as “Processing” until payment is made at the time of delivery—whether by you or your shipping service. As the store owner, you must verify that payment has been received before marking orders as “Complete” in WooCommerce.
